Youth Ministry at FUMC Terrell is fundamentally rooted in nurturing a lifelong relationship with Christ, inspired by the spiritual examples that shaped our own leadership. Our vision is to create a dynamic, welcoming environment where young people can explore the complexities of faith, develop essential spiritual disciplines, and feel unconditionally loved and accepted by God.
We seek to emulate the wisdom of patiently guiding our youth, meeting them where they are in their spiritual development. We are committed to fostering an atmosphere where curiosity, doubt, and worldly troubles are welcomed as natural components of a faith journey.

As Jared Yanez, our Youth Pastor, describes it, we endeavor to ensure that the youth know "that God is not scared of their questions whenever they feel overwhelmed. God welcomes their curiosity, troubles, and even accusations on their faith journeys. And He meets us where we are at, while ever gently inviting us to know Him more and more each day."
Ultimately, the goal of the FUMC Terrell Youth Ministry is to reflect Christ so effectively that the experience breathes life into the rest of their week, preparing them not only to finish the "race" of faith strong (2 Tim. 4:6-8) but also to joyfully invite others to follow Christ alongside them. We are dedicated to walking alongside every youth member and visitor, offering guidance, support, and love every step of the way.

Confirmation Class
January 4 – Start of Confirmation 2026 – 3:00 p.m. All 6th graders are invited to join us on a sixteen-week journey to explore their faith, learn more about the teachings of the United Methodist Church, and take the next steps in their spiritual journey.
