We invite you to join our family and be a part of the wonderful things God is doing at FUMC Terrell. We are motivated - to know God and God's will for our lives, be the people of God daily, and love all people letting them know that God loves them. Jesus Christ had definite ideas - about who his Father was and what He is like, what it means to be children of God, and why we reach out to unloved and forgotten people. You are welcome - to worship with us, fellowship with us, and serve with us. Together we strive to answer His call by growing - in our understanding of our heritage, knowledge of Him, fellowship with each other, and service to the world. (1 Peter 2:9-10; John 17)
FUMC Terrell has a long history of serving the area. Reverend J. W. Fields organized the church in 1873, our current sanctuary has stood since 1900. The United Methodist Church is part of the church universal. All persons, regardless of race, color, national origin, status, or economic condition, are welcome to attend, receive Holy Communion, and be baptized and admitted into membership.
FUMC Terrell invites you to join us in spreading the good news of Jesus Christ. We do this in many ways. We offer Adult Sunday School classes, United Methodist Men, a women's group called Methodist Women, and other fellowship opportunities.
Our children and youth programs offer many exciting ways to bring Christ into the lives of young people. We offer age-appropriate Sunday School classes; a Nursery during Sunday school and Worship; Underground Youth meets regularly for fun and mission work; Vacation Bible School as an outreach to all children age 4 to 6th grade during the summer; Methodist Day School and Parent's Day Out programs for children age 3 to Kindergarten; and many events throughout the year for families to spend time together in fellowship.
